Apply for government jobs


 This is the information you'll need if interested in applying for government job in South Africa. 



You can apply for government jobs on their offial job advertising portals. You can actually check every week if there's any new Job, As jobs are always posted whenever theirs an vacancy.



When you apply on for a job on this government vacancies, you have to make sure you include the reference number of the job you're applying for. You need to fill a Z83, pdf form.



In case you don't know about the Z83 form, This form is the official, mandotary application for employment form used when applying for jobs within the South African public services, This includes, All government department like national, provincial and local government department. This form when applying for government jobs is important as application without it are rejected before even CV is even considered.



The Z83 is just to make sure you fill in correctly, The position title, name of government department and the particular reference number on advertised job. It also includes filing in your identity details.



Please all the time when viewing a job ensure to pay attention to all details as requirements differ per post. Check carefully the post reference number, required years of experience if needed, age needed if it's limited to age, minimum qualification and any mandatory registrations. Ensure every section is completed fully. When you have fully completed the form, prepare your supporting documents, This should also include an updated, concise Curriculum Vitae which is correctly tailored for the job description. Under current DPSA you do not necessarily need to include your ID or certified copies of qualification as that will be needed when or if you are shortlisted. But always make sure to check first the instructions before applying. Again ensure to submit before deadline as any application after deadline will not be considered.



You'll need to be patient with this kind of applications as at times they can be as slow as taking about 4 to 6 months or even longer, for feedback or reply for interview.
