Get funding for your business through a South African agency

NYDA (National Youth Development Agency) is a South African youth empowerment.




It funds young people between the age of 18 to 35 and must be a South African citizen. Your business must be 100% age required ownership (not under the ownership of someone above the required age) 

Gives money from 1000 up to R200,000 (and more for agriculture or tech) to help young people start or grow their business. 

Notice that people above the age of 35 do not qualify for this program. This program supports differse stages of business development, NYDA Business Management Training (BMT) Programme supports young entrepreneurs at including Pre-start Up, Survivalist, Start Up, Early Development, and Growth and Expansion, with internationally recognised entrepreneurship training courses accredited by the International Labour Organisation (ILO).


The opportunity is available only to youth which are unemployed, if you were working before you applied, They require proof that shows you resigned or no longer working. 


All services and opportunities offered by the NYDA are free, including their Job database which connects young people to employers. 

Notice that you'll not be funded unless you complete all the business training they offer, which takes about 2 weeks. These business funding is non refundable. It is from government supporting the youth in business.
