Government funding for Spaza Shops


 There's a South African spaza grant, that supports small spaza shops to upgrade. It's called The Spaza Shop Support Fund (SSSF). The business opportunity is available to all South Africans regardless of age. 



The fund usually offers qualifying businesses funding of up to R100 000. 



The employees must be at least 70% South African citizen. Must be willing to be registered with SARS, CIPC, And UIF. 



To apply for this grant must be a South African citizen or naturalized before 1994, Your spaza must be operating within a township or rural community. Your shop must be registered and have a trading permit or license from your local municipality.



When you apply, A municipal team will to your shop for inspection and to verify health, safety, and trading compliance.
